James and Nancy Register, born 1800-1805 in South Carolina arrived in Alabama by the year 1825. They are shown in the 1830 Pike County census with one son 5-10 years in age, name not known, born in Alabama.
   Nancy is shown on the 1840 Pike County census with the children. James is no longer listed. What happened to him is unknown.
   Nancy is listed on the 1850 census with two sons Jackson W.  and James A. and two daughters, Susan & Nancy. Jackson William Register & James Ashley Register are on the 1860 census with families. No further record has been found of Nancy and daughters.
